Writer feelings are a rollercoaster. One moment I’m determined to pull out my draft & mark it up, the next I absolutely hate it.
Then I’m suddenly inspired with a new story idea, but I open up a new page & nothing flows from my imagination to the pen.
It’s hard + wonderful + emotional + trying + beautiful to be a writer.
For too long I’ve ignored the gift, but today I’m embracing it.
All of it.
Because writing—whether it’s the act of doing it, sharing it, trying it, or reading it—truly is a gift in this world.
Words open up so much of our imagination + heart + soul, and I’m learning that to keep with the ebb & flow of it, one must fight those negative feelings that are bound to come & embrace the positive ones when they arrive.
Which can be far more often then we writers think.
