day 5 // edit ✨

I had my Saturday all planned out.
A train ride to Chicago.
A walk down to The Drawing Room where I finished my first novel last year.
A day of coffee + revising + edits.

But then I woke up feeling super crummy today. Almost flu-like.
And the Winter warnings started with talks of blizzard-like conditions.
And I felt discouraged because I just need this edit to be done so I can take the next step.

So I reached out to my fellow writing partners & they filled me with the encouragement I need to make my own space work tomorrow.
Together, we’re hunkering down with coffee + writing.
Or in my case, editing.

Because this stack of pages—this novel— is almost ready for the world & if it means I have to edit my plans a bit to take my purple pen to the page, I’m ready.

No snowpocalyspe or yucky cough is going to stop me for I have a story to tell.
