Summer reading has been my favorite thing to do since I was a kid getting lost in the shelves at my local Carnegie library. Whether it was Nancy Drew, Agatha Christie, or a Sarah Dessen novel, I lived for summer reading.
Now that I’m an adult I still do! There’s something about long summer days that leave me with wanting nothing more than to curl up with a good book and escape into the world among the pages.
But after this last year, I want nothing more than to slowly savor reading this summer. To be outside, enjoy the sunshine, and get lost in story. That’s why I curated a reading guide just for this season: one where we can slow back down, recuperate from a stressful year, and relax.
The 2021 summer reading guide is all about getting lost both in story worlds and outside. This year I simplified, offering a handful of books for readers of all ages & a screen free challenge to help you step back from screen time, Zoom, and an abundance of news in order to enjoy nature.
Let’s get lost in story together.
