While I was in college, I studied English because I loved books and creative writing because I've always dreamed of being a published author. Though, during my four years of school, I never thought of myself as a fiction writer and chose creative nonfiction as my focus. I think I was more drawn to CNF I was learning so much about myself during those years and writing has always been a way I process.
However, I've been living with fantastical stories in my head since I was a kid, and in the last five years started writing down ideas because I thought to myself that maybe someday I could turn them into books.
I'm currently working on my first novel, and it's working title is "Mae and the Realm of Beyond." It's everything I love about fantasy, fae, and middle grade. In the process of writing, I found myself stuck last summer--not because of writer's block--because I just didn't believe in myself as a writer. When I came back to it this year, I found myself writing back stories, and jumping into the realm of short stories to encourage me.
Here's a draft, among other tales, just for your reading.
