#YAlit Review: A Study in Charlotte

From the moment Jamie Watson meets Charlotte Holmes (yes, THAT Holmes family) the tense energy between them suggests they seem to be more rivals than friends. But when a classmate at Sherringford dies under suspicious circumstances that are modeled after the famous Sherlock stories, the two can no longer stay apart.
Especially since they're being framed for murder.

What I loved most about this read was that even though it's based on classic characters, it's a completely original tale. Cavallaro takes everything we love about Watson and Holmes and drops them into a modern, teen-fueled story. She's on point character wise, down to all of Holmes' quirks, and I love the interaction between the two famed partners. She also does a fabulous job at referencing several Holmes' stories, and I can't wait to see how the cannon of tales finds its way into the rest of the series.

If you're a fan of Sherlock AND just happen to love the YA genre, then this is a must read! I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the trilogy!
